Boom-Stick Buffalo Shrimp

Shop S-Mart 1 lb shrimp (16-20s or 21-25s) 1/2 cup hot sauce 6 Tbs unsalted butter (cold) 1/2 cup heavy cream salt and black pepper to taste


1   Peel and devein the shrimp.

2   Warm the hot sauce in a pan over Low Heat for 4-5 minutes.

3   Stir in the cold butter, 1 Tbs at a time, stirring constantly to prevent the sauce from breaking. When the first Tbs is melted, then add the next one, stirring constantly, until it is dissolved into the sauce. Repeat until you have added all of the butter. If your wrist gets tired from whisking, then you’re doing it right.

4   While stirring constantly, slowly pour in the cream and keep stirring until it is mixed thoroughly into the sauce. Simmer for 4-5 mins.

5   Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper and then add to the sauce. Cook for 5 mins over Low Heat.  

6   Remove the shrimp from the sauce and place them into a large bowl. Pour the sauce over the top and then serve with some good crunchy bread for dipping. Yeah, the shrimp are good, but really, it’s all about the bread dunking.
